South Australia has developed a reputation as one of the worlds leading wine producing regions and Cotleigh Brewery are pleased to be able to offer two varieties of 'Dusty Dog' Australian wines to complement our range of Finest Somerset Beers.

Dusty Dog wines, from Penrice Estate Wines, are created especially to appeal to the English palate and offer a consistently high standard from year to year. Aussie winemaker Russell Johnson has thirty years experience in the industry, he and his wife Di agreed to partner Jon and Sally Dean in making wine and selling it in the UK.

Why 'Dusty Dog'? The Dusty Dog is an Australian working Kelpie. Their origins lie in Scotland, which has contributed to the Australian breed we know today. The Kelpie is a hard-working dog, tireless, intelligent and a very loyal breed to the stockmen of the outback.

Dusty Dog Cabernet Sauvignon

This Cabernet Sauvignon is sure to prove a favourite with anyone who likes a good Aussie red - and at 14% has an ABV not to be sniffed at. If you did, however, the 'nose' description would be 'bold, intense nose of plums, cherries and raspberries with hints of liquorice'.
